Opalite Ring - Opalescent Iridescent Stone on an Adjustable Antique Silver Crown Edge Ring

This is an antique silver tone ring holding a beautiful opalite cabochon. Opalite is a delicate half clear, half milky iridescent stone. It's translucent but at the same time its surface reflects the light. The glass appears to be yellowish red when held up to the light and has a blue glow against dark backgrounds. This is a phenomenon known as opalescence, named after the appearance of natural opals.

The ring is adjustable in size (the band is not fully closed) but it's also quite sturdy, I do not recommend it for very small or thin hands. If you want me to pre-adjust it for you, just select the option and add a note to your order indicating the size you need.

Cabochon has a diameter of 14mm / over half an inch. Please, check the picture of the items in my hand for size reference. Objects do appear to be bigger than they are in such close-up. I take my pictures under natural light and add no enhancement effects on Photoshop (just my brand image). What you see is what you get. However, colours may vary slightly from the picture to the real thing due to monitor settings.
